The New Palestine Youth League Blaze program is for those
players who are interested in playing additional ball at a
higher level.
General Guidelines:
- Blaze players must also participate in the NPYL
recreational league.
- Each team will consist of 12 players.
- The Blaze uniform will also be used for all-stars.
Players participating in Blaze who also make all-stars, will
not need to purchase an all-star uniform.
- The entry fee for baseball Blaze players will be $90 per
player. The cost for softball Blaze players will be
$77. Softball uniforms are not as expensive as
baseball. This will include uniform, games and related
cost.
- The entry fee must be paid when the blaze uniform order
form is submitted.
- In most cases, Blaze games are played on Sunday
afternoons.
- Blaze games normally begin in April and end toward late
June.
- Blaze games are not to interfere with regular in-house
recreational games. A player must attend his/her
in-house league game even if a Blaze practice or game is
scheduled. This should not be a factor.
- Blaze games and practices do take priority over any
in-house recreational league practices.
- Teams will exist for ages 7 through 12.
- NPYL intends to have a team at each age group. Based on
participation and other circumstances, it may not be
possible to field a team for every age group. An age group may
also not exist if there is no one that steps up to be the
head coach (Manager) of the team.
- All Blaze players must play on a team based on their
playing age. A player may not play up or down.
