What equipment does my athlete need for the season? The League provides each registered player with a uniform shirt and hat (for boys) or bows (for girls).

As far as equipment, your player will need the following:

  • Baseball pants (your coach will communicate what color)
  • Socks (your coach will communicate what color)
  • Glove
  •  Batting helmet (face guards are required for all softball players, jaw/chin guard are strongly recommended for all baseball players)
  •  Bat
  •  Belt (recommended)
  •  Cleats (no metal cleats)
  •  Softball Only: Face masks (recommended)
  •  Baseball/Softball Gear Bag

There are limitless additional gear options that you may purchase for your child like: batting gloves, protective sleeves, heart guard shirts, sliding pants, etc. While these are not required by the League, many families purchase these to provide a safer, more comfortable experience for their player.

Baseball and softball can become quite expensive sports to play. To help our families offset the expense, we have exclusive coupon offers and savings events at Dick’s Sporting Goods throughout the year. Please be on the lookout for more information about these events soon.
