8U Baseball - Jeremy Dillard

Jeremy Dillard is from New Palestine, where he grew up playing multiple sports. In high school, he played basketball and ran track. After graduating, he attended Ball State University, earning a degree in Secondary Mathematics Education. He has been teaching and coaching for 13 years.

Jeremy has experience coaching middle school baseball, football, and basketball, as well as serving as a high school basketball assistant coach at Warren Central High School. He transitioned to coaching youth sports when his own sons began playing and has spent the past six years coaching soccer, baseball, and basketball at the youth level.

Jeremy, along with the rest of his coaching staff, looks forward to helping players not only develop their skills in the game but also learn valuable life lessons that sports teach—such as hard work, teamwork, resilience, and overcoming adversity.

9U Baseball - Alyssa Dillard

Coach Alyssa Dillard has been coaching for over 15 years. She grew up playing softball, starting her career with the New Palestine Youth League. From there, she played travel ball for the Indy Diamond Chix and was a four-year Varsity starter for the New Palestine Lady Dragons. Alyssa continued her playing career at Indiana State University, where she earned a degree in Education. Throughout her college career, she would return to New Palestine to assist with the softball program, taking on a new role as coach.

After college, Alyssa became a full-time member of the coaching staff and eventually served as the Varsity Assistant Coach. During her tenure, she helped the Lady Dragons win 5 State Titles and a Runner-Up title in 4A during the 2024 season. In 2018, she was honored with the NFCA “Assistant Coach of the Year” award.

Coach Dillard has transitioned her love of softball and coaching to the world of baseball. Along with her coaching staff, she aims to instill a passion for the game through hard work and fundamental skills. The coaching staff focuses on helping players respect the game while enjoying the process of learning the strategies behind the sport.

10U Baseball - Brian Crispin

Brian has been coaching baseball for since 2020, dedicating multiple seasons to NPYL as a Rec coach, All-Stars coach, and Dragons travel coach. "I take pride in putting in a high level of effort to teach and prepare my teams, helping players develop their skills and knowledge of the game so they can compete at the highest level possible. I firmly believe that when kids learn to play the game the right way, it becomes even more fun."

Brian coached the 8U showcase team twice when it was known as the BLAZE and was instrumental in launching the travel program, Dragons. With the Dragons, he has coached at the 8U, 9U, and 10U levels. The 10U Dragons team has largely stayed together since competing as the 7U NPYL All-Stars and has since developed into a AAA-level team that has achieved significant success.

In 2024 and 2025, Brian was honored to be named the head coach of "Team Indiana" at the USSSA National All-State Tournament, where several Dragons players were named to the team of state All-Stars at USSSA's largest national tournament.

11U Baseball - Cory Alter

Coach Cory Alter has been a Dragons assistant coach for the past two years, bringing a wealth of experience and passion to the team. Although his own baseball career was cut short in high school due to multiple shoulder surgeries, Cory was fortunate to be a part of the New Palestine Baseball State Championship team.

This season, Cory’s goals for the team are to win multiple tournaments in a row, claim the state title, and reach AAA. His primary focus is on helping players develop strong fundamental skills, enhance their baseball IQ, and, most importantly, enjoy the game throughout the process.
