8U Baseball - Ethan Armour

Ethan Armour grew up in New Palestine and graduated from NPHS. He played multiple sports including his two favorites, baseball and wrestling.

Following high school, he attended Hanover College, where he played baseball. Shortly after graduating college, he went on to marry his high school sweetheart, Stephanie. Together he and Stephanie have two boys, Brayden and Brooks, along with their Goldendoodle, Cela. Ethan works for BDA, a construction manufacturers’ rep agency located in Fishers, IN. Ethan has coached for three years at NPYL and is excited to continue helping the baseball program succeed for many years to come.

9U Baseball - Brian Crispin

Brian has coached at NPYL since 2020, coaching one Instructional season, two Rookie spring seasons, one Rookie fall season, two 7U All-Stars seasons, and two 8U Blaze seasons. Brian will be taking on our first-ever 8U Dragons baseball team in 2022/2023. Brian is also currently on the Board of Directors at NPYL, serving as the Sponsorship Director.

Brian has three kids, two of which are now playing in the Dragons baseball and softball system. "I'm excited that New Palestine now has a full-time travel team for local players to get to enjoy a higher-level of competition together. I really enjoy teaching the game of baseball to young players and seeing them play a sound, fundamental game that is able to compete with any opponent they face. This game teaches them personal accountability, teamwork, and perseverance, among other important life-lessons. I can't wait to see how the 2023 8U Dragons team develops,” said Brian.

10U Baseball - Josh Garvey

Josh Garvey has spent many years coaching Central Indiana youth. He started his coaching in 2012 with the YMCA, teaching first-time baseball players early fundamentals. In 2013-2014 Josh joined the Franklin Township Youth Softball league coaching his daughter’s 6U & 7U teams. Josh’s knowledge of many sports and experience in coaching was noticed by the Franklin Township Youth Football program in 2014 where he was an Assistant Coach. The Garvey family moved to New Palestine in late 2017. Josh’s passion for helping to develop young athletes moved on to the New Palestine Youth League in early 2018.

Since 2019, Josh has coached youth baseball, football and basketball. He has continued to help young athletes build a solid foundation here at NPYL. Josh believes in hard work, dedication, having fun, and instilling sportsmanship in all the kids he has coached. He believes in his athletes and loves watching them learn and grow.
